The Dairy Council has joined forces with Kellogg’s on a new promotion aimed at encouraging children to enjoy a nutrient-filled breakfast.
Kellogg’s, in partnership with The Dairy Council, is giving away a promotional Tip & Sip bowl. It features a built-in straw, providing a fun way for children to sip up every last drop of milk – making breakfast more delicious and more nutritious.
This is a fantastic opportunity for milk to be promoted on 25 million packs of cereal over the coming months.
Milk includes essential nutrients such as calcium, protein, iodine, riboflavin, and others. Milk is one of the most nutrient-dense foods available – providing a high percentage of nutrients per calorie.
Dr Judith Bryans, Director of The Dairy Council, said: “We are very excited about pairing up with Kellogg’s and giving our backing to this promotion as it encourages children and young people to eat breakfast and to drink more milk. Milk provides children with a lot of essential nutrients – but they will only get these nutrients if they actually drink the milk and don’t leave it sitting at the bottom of the cereal bowl.
“All too often young people skip breakfast or have nutritionally poor foods on the go. This promotion makes having breakfast fun so it’s a great way to encourage children to start their day with milk and cereal.”
A recent survey commissioned by The Dairy Council revealed that 75% of young people surveyed have milk on their cereal. The Dairy Council is hopeful that the Tip & Sip promotion will help encourage more to try it.
There are four bowls to choose from, each featuring a different Kellogg’s character – Coco the Monkey, Tony the Tiger, Cornelius the Cockerel, or Mini Max.
