Milk in Sport: From Science to Practice

The Dairy Council hosted the Milk and Sport: From Science to Practice conference on 10th November 2011 at the Institute of Physics in London.
The conference was held as part of The Dairy Council's Milk it for all it's worth campaign which is co-financed by the European Union.
Speaking at the conference were:
Dr Judith Bryans, The Dairy Council (GB) – Milk it for all it's worth: An update.
Dr Brian Roy, Brock University (CA) – Milk as a sports drink: A review of the evidence.
Dr Mike Saunders, James Madison University (USA) – The role of flavoured milk for post-exercise recovery in athletes.
Lewis James, Nottingham Trent University (UK) – The effect of milk and milk protein on rehydration after exercise.
Jeanette Crosland, Freelance Dietitian (UK) – Applying the science on milk and sport to the diets of disabled athletes.
Mark Spalding, Scottish FA Football Development Officer (UK) – Changing young peoples' lives with sport: Scottish Youth Football.
Professor Mike Weed, SPEAR (UK) – Evaluating community youth sports initiatives: Lessons to be learnt.
Dr Andy Smith, University of Chester (UK) - Evaluating community youth sports initiatives: Lessons to be learnt.
Dr Tom Hill, University of Newcastle (UK) and Liam Phillips, BMX Champion – Applying the science to the diets of athletes: A case study.
